Pourquoi un 8e membre au conseil d’administration?
Apple a décidé d’intégrer un 8e membre à son “Board of Directors”. Andrea Jung – chairman and former Avon CEO, elle se joint au rang des Eric Schmidt et Al Gore qui sont déjà parmi le groupe. Pour ceux que ça intéresse, voici la composition du Board à ce jour.
- Bill Campbell (Chairman and former CEO, Intuit Corp.)
- Millard Drexler (Chairman and CEO, J. Crew)
- Albert Gore Jr. (Former Vice President of the United States)
- Steve Jobs (CEO, Apple, Inc.)
- Andrea Jung (Chairman and CEO, Avon Products)
- Arthur D. Levinson, Ph. D. (Chairman and CEO, Genentech)
- Dr. Eric Schmidt (CEO, Google)
- Jerry York (Chairman, President and CEO Harwinton Capital)
Entre vous et moi, ce Board of Directors est très intéressant. Pourquoi avoir ajouté un 8e membre alors? Simplement parce qu’il manquait une vision féminine… peut-être. Mais, fait à noter, Andrea Jung parle mandarin, ce qui peut aider Apple selon moi. De plus, elle semble avoir une forte connaissance en la matière. Voici un extrait d’un article paru sur AppleInsider.com :
“She was elected president of global marketing in 1996, an executive vice president in 1997, president and a director of the company in 1998, chief operating officer from 1998 to 1999, chief executive officer in 1999 and chairman of the board in 2001. Previously, Jung was executive vice president of Neiman Marcus and a senior vice president for I. Magnin.”
Nous pouvons dire que ce fût une belle décennie pour madame Jung. Nous verrons bien où cela mènera Apple.
