Old D conference with Steve Jobs #apple
A lot of noise has been made about 2 old interviews with Steve Jobs at the All Things Digital Conference “D”. I personally took the time to watch them and here are some interesting insights.
D1 (2003)
4:52 – You couldn’t really do a music store on it (Talking about the iPod)
6:14 – 3 primary markets: Consumer, Creative, Education
7:56 – No plans at the current time to make a tablet.
9:26 – We think the tablet will fail (with handwriting)
12:41 – Mossberg: So are you working with Nokia and Motorola? Jobs: Yes, absolutely
13:01 – Mossberg: Calendar and the address book are terrible (in cellphones). Jobs: I know but they are improving at a fairly rapid rate right now.
D2 (2004)
5:18 – Music companies makes more money when we sell a 99 cents song then they do when they sell a CD
- End note
An interesting bit is that the subjects discussed during the conference are still of actuality today.
